Entry Requirements

There are no formal training package entry requirements for this qualification, however many rail employers, however, require workers to meet site and network access requirements before undertaking rail work, which may include:
 
  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work
  • Rail medical assessment requirements (where required by the rail network)
  • Access to a workplace or practical rail environment for workplace-based learning activities
  • Some employers may also require rail industry induction training prior to accessing worksites.
